Opportunity at a the world's third largest producer of aluminum with corporate headquarters in New York City. They are known for producing lightweight metals and advanced manufacturing techniques. They conduct operations in 30 countries. Their products are used worldwide in aircraft, automobiles, commercial transportation, packaging, building and construction, oil and gas, defense, and industrial applications.

In the second half of 2016, the client will separate into two stand-alone industry-leading public companies. Each will be a Fortune 500 industry leader with significant global reach. This role is slated to become part of the Value-Add Company.
This position will report to the Vice President of Tax for our company's future value-add company. This job is responsible for developing and implementing our company’s international tax strategies, tax planning and tax accounting which will enable us to be more tax efficient.

Primary Duties
Develop international tax strategies in accordance with senior management policy that will result in reduction of tax costs; simplify our company’s international entity structure and improve our company’s international tax efficiency. Lead and direct tax planning with all international entity reorganizations, acquisitions and dispositions. Assist in Quarterly and Annual Income tax accounting.

Key Challenges
Work closely with the VP-Tax and other senior tax, finance and BU management in the development of international tax planning ideas and strategies.
Functional oversight and coordination of all tax planning and transactions for the non-US regional tax managers.
Work closely with Manager, Income Tax Accounting on tax provision activities.
Work closely with Tax and others in developing tax efficient cash flow transactions and impacts on effective tax rates in various jurisdictions
Functional responsibility for international compliance portion of the US consolidated income tax return

Minimum Years of Experience 10 +
Preferred Qualifications
Broad based knowledge of various corporate related areas of taxation and income tax accounting
Strong leadership skills to manage complex tax strategies and procedures
Excellent knowledge of US outbound international tax law and US income tax accounting; analytical ability to interpret and communicate the essence of the rules
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent leadership skills which are used in team building, motivating and problem solving
Deep understanding of our company’s business and critical economic success factors
Excellent ability to initiate, organize and coordinate complex transactions and projects
CPA or Master’s degree in taxation; or law degree
