Finance Manager – Basel Reporting

Our client - Leading Banking Institution.  The Corporate Controllers group is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Basel Reporting team to contribute to the Company’s efforts in developing, maintaining, and overseeing production of regulatory reports filed by the Company. The team has enterprise-wide exposure to lines of business and the external financial reporting infrastructure. This individual will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the processes related to regulatory reporting.
Specific responsibilities / duties to include:
• Maintaining existing FFIEC 101 and Basel Pillar 3 reporting and developing new guidance as needed
• Working knowledge of Basel RWA calculation
• Establishing and maintaining processes to monitor compliance with regulatory guidance
• Partnering with Corporate Accounting Policy, SEC Reporting, and Regulatory Reporting
• Administering and preparing materials for senior level oversight committees to assist those committees in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities
• Serving as a consultant to Lines of Business, report owners, and other interested parties
• Participating in other related Corporate Controllers projects as needed

The candidate should be flexible, be able to withstand challenges and adapt accordingly.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years accounting experience and 3+ years management experience.
Desired Qualifications
• A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation
• An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation

Other Desired Qualifications
• Experience with bank regulatory reporting requirements, including FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031/041, Pillar 3, and FFIEC 101
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents at all levels of the organization
• Experience with Essbase and SQL
• Experience with large financial institutions
• Prior management consulting experience with the Big 4 consulting firms
