Top Audit firm seeks Audit Managers with five years of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm with some experience serving financial services clients.  If you are a CPA with deep experience serving clients in the asset management industry, which may include mutual fund complexes, hedge funds, private equity funds or other investment vehicles, we want to chat with you.

The role of the  Audit Manager includes the execution of high-quality audit engagements, including building high-performing teams, managing risks, and maintaining independence and professional skepticism.
  • Actively engage in required consultations
  • Focus on people/talent development by counseling, coaching and impacting others through identification of stretch and challenging goals
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies
  • Manage key components of multiple audit engagements, including strategy, planning, risk assessment, team management, engagement economics and delivery of exceptional client service
  • Challenge the effectiveness of the audit strategy and approach for all engagements
  • Develop strong relationships across a network of existing and future clients and key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with audit clients/management
  • Establish expectations of value/services to be delivered for the client
  • Collaborate to plan engagement objectives. Develop and implement an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk
  • Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers, business trends and industry developments
  • Develop people – conduct timely reviews and provide feedback to team members, lead engagement team sessions and participate in recruiting efforts
  • Oversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficient engagement models
  • Participate in client pursuits and develop proposal content
  • Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree and approximately five years of related work experience or a graduate degree and approximately four years of related work experience
  • A degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • CPA
  • Experience in supervising, planning, executing and reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles and US generally accepted auditing standards
  • Experience participating in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building
  • Ability and willingness to travel
